I was born in Philadelphia in 1953 and raised in the Germantown section of Philadelphia. Growing up in Germantown thru the 50’s, 60’s, & 70’s was both delightful and educational. From 1967 to 1971 I attended Cardinal Dougherty High School graduating class of 1971. During my time at Cardinal Dougherty I earned 3 varsity letters for playing football and was a member of the 1969 undefeated city championship team. These early years of my life made me the person I am today and I still maintain my closest friendships from this time of my life.
After graduation in 1971 I joined organized labor as a member of District Council #332 as a laborer in the building trades of Philadelphia which lead me to my first but not my last career change. I was privileged to join the Philadelphia Police Department in 1974. I proudly served until being injured on duty in 1989. This crossroad presented many challenges for me both physically and emotionally, but this is where my early upbringing in Germantown and of course Cardinal Dougherty kicked in.
Along with my 3 partners we purchased a Re/Max Real Estate Franchise now known as Re/Max 2000 and we have been a true market force for the last 3 decades. I have held many different licenses during this time, Real Estate Sales, Real Estate Broker, Real Estate Appraiser, Insurance License, Financial Services in the State of PA License #6 & #63, and a Mortgage Broker License. All these licenses require extensive education and hard work all the while helping my wife of 44 years create and raise our amazing family of 6 children & currently 6 grandchildren. All of these accomplishments began on the streets of Germantown in 1953. This last mention of my neighborhood is critical because my steadfast motto is “never forget where you came from."
